  • How long does it take for dermal filler to settle?

  • For at least 24 hours after getting dermal fillers, you should avoid touching your face, laying on the treatment site, and engaging in strenuous activity.

  • Dermal fillers can be made from a variety of different materials, but most are made from hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring product in our bodies and promotes hydration.

  • Dermal fillers can last for different amounts of time depending on the filler you receive and where it is injected. Most last anywhere from 6 months to 2 years.

  • Dermal filler is injected using a very fine gauge needle. This does not hurt, but you will feel a small pinch. A topical numbing agent will be provided at the patient’s request.
